Gardening and yard maintenance hauling is what the Precise crew handles after the cutting is done, in Pasadena and across the San Gabriel Valley. Bagged clippings, loose branches, pulled plants, bags of leaves, old soil from a bed you dug out. The crew sets the price off a picture. Text a photo to (626) 590-3118. What separates this job from the rest of their work is sheer volume. A cleared bed or a hedge pulled out at the roots is more than a week of clippings. That pile is what they load.

Most of these calls come in after the work is already done. Someone spent Saturday pulling ivy off a fence and ended up with a tarp full of it. A gardener mowed and edged and left the clippings bagged by the gate. A bed got stripped to bare dirt and the old soil is sitting in five buckets. Precise Junk Removal handles the clearing and the hauling end of it, and cutting branches that are still up on the tree is a separate job.

Booking runs on a photo. The team sizes up how much room the pile will take and texts back one price covering all of it. The line is open 8 AM to 8 PM every day, and every set pickup carries a two-hour arrival window instead of a whole morning of waiting. A wide shot of the whole pile tells them more than a close-up of one bag, so stand back when you take it. Get the bags and the branches in the same shot and they can read it closer.

From the full list of what goes on the truck: yard waste after the project.

What ends up in a green waste load

Green waste comes in two shapes and both load. Bagged is the tidy half, contractor bags of grass, leaves raked off a lawn, hand-pulled weeds. Loose is the rest, ivy ripped off a fence in long mats, hedge trunks with the root balls still on, palm fronds, dead sod rolled up and heavy with dirt. Then there is the part nobody calls green waste until it is in the way, buckets of old potting soil, cracked planters, a bag of mulch that sat out all year.

Most of the crew's other work turns on one heavy piece. This one turns on bulk. Light pieces in large amounts fill a truck faster than people expect. Homeowners call after a weekend of clearing. A gardener who cut more than his own truck holds calls too, and so does a property manager who needs the yard clear before the next tenant.

What a yard full of green waste costs

The minimum is $50. Past that, price follows room. What the crew is reading in the photo is how much of the bed a pile that size will take up, which is why the whole thing needs to be in frame. Loose brush takes more space than it weighs. Bagged clippings stack flat. The crew reads the picture and sends back one number for the whole pile instead of a count per bag.

Two add-ons can land on yard work. Stairs are +$50 each. A steep slope starts at +$50, and what it ends up adding tracks how rough the carry is, which the photo shows the crew along with the rest. Text a photo to (626) 590-3118.

How the pile gets out of the yard

The carrying is the crew's own work. Green waste is rarely stacked where a truck can reach it, so most of this job is moving the pile from the back corner of the yard, down the driveway and out through a side gate. Loose brush gets gathered before it travels so it does not shed across the lawn. Wet sod and old soil move in smaller armloads because they get heavy fast. If there are stairs or a slope between the pile and the street, get those in the photo too, since each one carries its own line in the price.

On a rental or a complex, the team works to the time the manager sets and takes the route the manager wants, the alley or the far end of the lot. When the plants are still in the ground and the whole yard has to come down to dirt, that is the heavier yard clearing and landscaping work.

Where the clippings and the dirt end up

Sorting starts before the truck pulls away. Anything in the pile that still has a life in it gets set aside for a donation center, which on a yard job is usually the planters, the hand tools or a bag of soil nobody opened. Of everything the crew hauls off, about 75 percent gets recycled. What is left over as actual trash goes to the landfill, and on green waste that is the torn bags and the broken plastic that came out of the beds with everything else.

It is worth getting the whole pile in the picture for that reason as well, because a load of clippings and dirt and a load with half a fence mixed into it do not get handled the same. For anything in the pile you are unsure about, the page listing what rides on the truck spells it out.

Yards from Pasadena out through the valley

Pasadena is home base, and the work runs out from there across the whole San Gabriel Valley, from Altadena and Sierra Madre down to Alhambra and San Gabriel, and out east through Arcadia and Monrovia. Properties are not built the same here, and that is what moves the number on a yard job. A flat driveway in Temple City and a backyard up a flight of steps in Sierra Madre can hold the same volume of clippings and still be two different carries, so the photo matters more than the address.

There is no lot to drive your bags to, and there does not need to be, because Precise Junk Removal comes to the pile. If your town is not in the short list above, the whole list of towns it hauls in sits on one page.

How the price works

Text a photo of what needs to go to (626) 590-3118. Precise looks at how much room it takes on the truck and texts back one number for the whole job. No hourly rate. Jobs start at $50. The only add-ons: stairs +$50, steep slope +$50. More on how pricing works.

Where Precise does this

All of the San Gabriel Valley. In Sierra Madre, the organics container takes hedge trimmings, weeds and grass clippings, and the crew takes the overflow from a big yard day. San Gabriel's green cart takes flower and hedge trimmings and weeds, and the crew hauls the extra. In La Cañada Flintridge, green waste for the seasonal collection must be bundled, not bagged, and the crew can haul it loose or bundled. “We recommend Precise junk removal. We called them today and they offered Same Day service. They let us know about their eta along the way. The guys that came were professional. They took care of all the junk pick up. The owner even came after the guys finished to make sure the job was done properly. They even cleaned up the floor which we didn’t expect. They swept all the dirt and leaves after they finished hauling our junk out. This was our first time using Precise junk removal. But we’ll definitely be using them again. They also offer other services such as tree trimming demolition handy man etc which is good to know.”

Questions

Questions about gardening and yard maintenance.

How much does a green waste haul cost?
It starts at $50, and past that the photo decides it, by how much of the bed the pile takes up. Stairs run +$50 each, and a steep slope adds +$50 at the least, scaled to how rough the carry turns out to be. Payment can be cash, a check or online.
Does the green waste have to be bagged?
No. Bagged and loose both load, so a tarp of ivy dragged out of the back yard is fine next to a row of contractor bags. Bagging dry leaves does keep them from blowing around the yard during the carry.
Does the pile need to be at the curb?
Ask the crew about that in the same text as the photo. The photo is what tells them how far the pile sits from the truck and whether stairs or a slope are in the way.
When can the crew pick it up?
Text a photo to (626) 590-3118 and ask. They give a two-hour arrival window once the pickup is set.
What happens to the load after it leaves?
A donation center gets first look at whatever is still usable, planters or hand tools usually. Roughly 75 percent of the load gets recycled from there. The landfill only takes what is actual garbage.
Can the crew coordinate with a gardener or a property manager?
Yes. The team works to the window a manager sets and uses the gate or route the property asks for. Email angel@precisejunkremoval.com to sort that out.
